Top Five Fabulous!  March 13, 2020

1.    In art, we worked on our Paul Klee art.  We have really had to persevere as it has been a lot of work!  While we are colouring, we are using small strokes in one direction and blister colouring.  We cannot wait to show you our masterpiece.
2.  In PE, we have been working on gymnastics skills.  We have been practicing our pencil rolls, and our logs rolls, dismounts and balances. We put all of this together with a group to come up with a routine that we presented in front of the class.  We had to work well with our group, and make sure that we shared our ideas, and also listened to the ideas of our friends.
3.  In math, we are working with numbers up to and including one hundred.  We played ‘Guess my Number’.  We could ask: Is it even or odd?  Is it greater or less than _____?  What is the sum of the digits in your number?  What is the differences of the digits in my number?  Is the digit in the ones place greater than the digit in the tens place?  We played this game with the whole class and also with a partner.
4.  This week our Weekly Wonder was about how kids around the world get to school.  We asked a lot of great questions and talked about what we noticed.  The other video showed how long it took these kids to get to school.  Check out these videos under the wonder tab.

5.  In science, we were talking about the water cycle.  We watched a video above about “The Blob” and we learned about the journey of the blob.  After that, we drew a picture of the water cycle.

* Bonus*. The kindergarten kids came to our class to sing a song about kindness.  We have been reading stories, writing, and discussing how we can show kindness in our world!
